Who I am

This website, tpnexplorer.co.uk, is run by Darren Carter (TPN Explorer), based in Leicester, United Kingdom. If you need to contact me about anything on this page, you can email hello@tpnexplorer.co.uk.

What information I collect

This is a personal website and most of it asks nothing of you. I do not run contact forms, comments or full visitor accounts. The exceptions are the Games Room and the Dr-Disco listener playlists, which save a few details if you choose to use them (explained below), and email, where I only see what you put in your own message.

The Games Room and listener playlists

If you play in the Games Room or make a listener playlist, the following is saved on my own server:

• The player name you choose. It is shown publicly on leaderboards, in the Hall of Fame and on any playlist you share, so please use a nickname rather than your full real name.
• Your PIN, if you set one. It is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody, including me, can read it.
• Your scores, game progress, chip balance, Happy Hour answers and playlists, saved against your player name.
• Prize claims. If you claim a prize, the email address or phone number you enter is used only to contact you about that prize and is never shown publicly.
• Your IP address, stored alongside scores, PINs, prize claims, answers and playlists. It is used only to stop abuse, such as someone flooding a leaderboard or guessing a PIN, and never to track you.

None of this is shared with any third party. It is kept for as long as the Games Room and playlists run, unless you ask me to delete it sooner.

Visitor statistics

I keep basic, anonymous statistics about how the site is used, such as how many times a page has been viewed. This is counted on my own server, it is not shared with any third party, and it does not identify you as an individual.

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not use tracking or advertising cookies. A small amount of information may be saved in your own browser to remember things like your place in the music player and your game settings, but this stays on your device and is never sent to an advertiser. The private admin area uses a single sign in cookie, which only ever applies to me as the site owner.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have rights over any personal data I hold about you. You can ask me at any time to show you what I hold, correct it, or delete it. That includes any email you have sent me, your player name, scores, PIN, playlists and any prize contact details. Just get in touch and tell me the player name you used.
