Dr-Disco
Music has been my escape through all of it. I have been on the decks since the late nineties, and these days you will find me on BoomFM, the community station I helped build from nothing.

How I got into DJing
Music has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and DJing has been part of me since the late nineties. I started out alongside Richie Perry, the same man I dived with, playing the clubs and the working men's clubs around Leicester and learning the craft the proper way, in front of real crowds.
Around 2001, my brother, who goes by Harrypothead, was DJing online with a station called Radio Freedom. A few of us got talking, and between us we decided we could build something of our own. That something became BoomFM. Pegs and Asphy helped me put the very first version of the station together, and it grew from there.
Life got in the way and we took a break for a few years. Then, when COVID hit and everyone was stuck indoors looking for a lift, me and Deks decided to bring Boomie back to life. My regular slot is the Ultimate Request Show on a Thursday night, and beyond that I jump on whenever the mood takes me and play whatever I am feeling, whether that is Reggae, Bounce or a bit of 80s.
As for the name, Dr-Disco started life as Daz and Rich Disco, me and Richie, though it only ever got shortened to Dr-Disco and it stuck. Right now I am pouring most of my time into other projects, so I am off the air for a little while, but make no mistake, Dr-Disco will be back.
